Scorpio Stone

A foundational change for a hidden gem.

Scorpio Stone had developed a series of concerns with their web presence, the design was outdated, there was no easily accessible tablet or mobile phone views, and site visits were few and far between. The need arose to correct all of this, create a unified styling and vision, increase site speed, promote engagement, and provide a site that could be used as a showcase for their work, materials, and the talented employees working there.

The best approach here was pretty simple, work from the bottom all the way back to the top. This included competitor and peer research, checking into current usage statistics, looking into the relevant functions and forms of the content, and determining what we needed to keep, what we needed to do away with, and what needed some new attention and promotion.

From there it was a matter of reviewing the original project goals, and applying the results from the research and mapping tasks, in order to create an updated design that could meet those goals head on in a manner that would be easy to maintain and produce for going forward.

And last but not least, actually producing a working site, which would use a content management system that was simple to update, and painless to upgrade, all the while making sure to test and re test on all major devices to ensure that the new site vision was being seen as intended.
